Ideal Clients

Wow what a crazy month it has been!

I have been fortunate enough to sign on 3 new Virtual Reception clients, with all of them being my ideal client. I was unfortunate enough to have a client who I thought was once an ideal client, until they stopped paying me…not so ideal!

I have since fired this client and am still chasing the money for 2 months of Virtual Reception service and around 40hrs of PA service.

One of the new clients, are now advertising on TV. We are taking all the calls that come into the lines. Because of this, we are flat out, so I am going to advertise for a new Virtual Receptionist to come on board and give us a hand.

This got me thinking about what is an “ideal client”. I guess for me I look for clients who will respect myself and my team as partners and not employees. I would hope that my ideal client would also value the work we do for them. An ideal client would also be looking for some sort of balance in their life or business and understand the pressures of running a business and a family. I would certainly be looking for a client whom we can grow with and nurture along the way. Lastly an ideal client pays their invoices on time.

I would be very interested to see what you class as an ideal client?

Introducing the Campbell clan

Welcome to my first ever blog on the new Virtual Office Solutions  (VOS) page!

I am truly thrilled to be at this stage of my business where I am learning new skills about the wonderful world of marketing for my business.

These blogs on the VOS website will be a showcase of my family life as well as business life too. Work/life balance is very important to me and is the reason why I started my business in 2009. So here you will get a bit of both.

I would not be where I am today if it were not for my family and their support. So, on that note I would like to introduce you to my crazy but lovable family.

Dan, Stands for Diligent, Adorable and Noisy. Dan is the centre of my earth, my best friend, the person who annoys the hell out of me the most in my life but is my number one fan and supporter and is just overall awesome! Dan works away in the mines on a 3:1 roster…its sucks! BUT he does this so I can work from home and run my business and be here for our two daughters at the same time. We have two daughters Mia and Isla, more on them later. Dan has backed my business venture from day dot. He was actually the one who came up with the idea of doing what I do best and what I enjoy. He encouraged me not to go back to full time employment after having our second daughter Isla and told me I can have the best of both worlds..being a stay at home mum and keeping my sanity whilst keeping active in the working world. Dan is a true Aussie male, loves to laugh, drink beer, cook a BBQ, watch the footy and spend time with his girls. Mia, Isla and myself!

Mia, Stands for Mothering, Intellectual and Amazing. Mia is our first born and the absolute apple of my eye. I learn so much from Mia each and every day…yep she is one clever little cookie. Mia LOVES Singing and reading, she also loves talking…alot! If you ask Mia to do something, she will give it 110% and is not one to stand back and not say anything that she disagrees with, she is amazing like that and even though it drives me crazy at times it is also one of her best qualities. She will make a great lawyer one day and I am absolutely excited to see what she does with her life and honoured that I get to be her mother and guide her into her path as she grows older and becomes an amazing young lady. Mia truly is amazing in every way.

Isla, stands for Inspirational, Shy, Loving, Adventurist. Isla surly has kept us on our toes. She has been caught playing with blue loo from the toilet, eating dog food, drinking mice worming liquid and ended up in hospital. She draws on everything from her bed, pillows, walls, washing machine, fence, garage doors and more. When asked who wrote “Isla” on everything her response is usually “I don’t know” or she blames the dog. Isla has a very shy nature and is not one to make friends easily. People, both adults and children, need to earn her trust and friendship and it can take time however once trust has been earned she is a loyal and loving friend for life. Isla is an adventurist, she is always making up games, she goes on adventures around the house often making her own magical lands up and creating “bad” and “good” characters to fulfil her adventure with her trusty sidekick, bob our family dog! She certainly keeps us on our toes and we sure have had a lot of laughs when Isla is concerned.

Bob, Stands for Bouncing, Overactive, Best friend. You guessed it, Bob is our lovable and loyal dog. I had Bob before I met Dan so he has been in my life now for nearly 13 years. He is a boxer dog and if anyone knows a boxer dog, they are full of energy and are known for their bouncing and jumping around. Bob is almost 13 and has started to slow down from the boxer hyperactivity he once had. We take him to the beach and he will keep up as he always did but tends to sleep allot once we are back! He hates missing out on family time and absolutely loves when we take him camping to our favourite camping site Neurum Creek Bush Retreat in QLD. it will be a very sad day when Bob decides he has taught his little people what he was here to teach them and moves on.

So that is the Campbell Clan! The absolute loves of my life. My personal inspiration and my EVERYTHING! These 3 people and animal have been the reason and motivation behind me starting my own business and creating a workspace where mothers and fathers can gain the work/life balance they desire but also a place where business owners can come so they also can create a work/life balance and just free up some time so they can get back to doing what they do best…running their business!

Bringing balance to your life!
